L’Alliance for Satellite Broadband est une coalition de groupes de r\u00e9flexion, de parties prenantes et d\u2019entreprises qui cherchent \u00e0 \u00e9tendre l’acc\u00e8s mondial au haut d\u00e9bit par satellite gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la modernisation des r\u00e9glementations mondiales. <\/span><\/p>\n

Le groupe demande sp\u00e9cifiquement aux gouvernements du monde entier de moderniser les r\u00e8gles actuelles relatives aux limites de puissance des satellites \u2014 appel\u00e9es Equivalent Power Flux-Density (EPFD) \u2014 afin d\u2019aider des millions de citoyens \u00e0 se connecter \u00e0 l\u2019Internet gr\u00e2ce au haut d\u00e9bit satellitaire.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Lors de la World Radiocommunication Conference 2023 (WRC-23), les r\u00e9gulateurs ont invit\u00e9 l\u2019International Telecommunication Union (ITU) \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser des \u00e9tudes sur les limites EPFD, et ont demand\u00e9 que les r\u00e9sultats soient pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s d\u2019ici la prochaine Conf\u00e9rence en 2027 (WRC-27) \u2014 une avanc\u00e9e favorable \u00e0 l\u2019innovation. L\u2019ITU-R m\u00e8ne actuellement ces \u00e9tudes techniques. La prochaine \u00e9tape consiste \u00e0 examiner objectivement les r\u00e9sultats de ces \u00e9tudes lors de WRC-27 et \u00e0 moderniser les limites en cons\u00e9quence. <\/span><\/p>

Les limites EPFD constituent l\u2019une des restrictions r\u00e9glementaires les plus importantes, limitant la capacit\u00e9 des satellites NGSO \u00e0 fonctionner efficacement et \u00e0 un co\u00fbt abordable dans le monde entier.
